Mornington estuary projects

29.09.2015 - Posted by Elisa Zavadil
Alluvium is engaged in a couple of interesting estuary projects at the moment, at Merricks Creek and Balcombe Creek in the Mornington region of Victoria.

Both relate to investigating the complex relationship between catchments, waterways, estuaries and coasts. And like all projects they involve a range of stakeholders and locals who are passionate advocates of their patch.

We were on out in the field last week and I took a couple of photos. Contact us to find out more about these projects.

We are at the River Symposium 2015 this week

The 18th International River Symposium is on this week and a few Alluvium people will be there. It's a long running symposium with a significant following and influence on river and water issues in Australia and internationally.

Misko Ivezich is due to present on "Mary River – understanding processes and values to inform planning and restoration" and I will be attending as well.

I'm looking forward to catching up with colleagues and we hope to post a reflection blog after the event.
